About me
My name is Alia (They/them pronouns). I am 33 and live with my husband Richard, our Westie Pippin, and two Tabby cats, Edelgard and Thorin. In my art, I'm experimenting with a unique blend of traditional and modern materials. I'm using dyes and inks that I make myself from foraged items like mushrooms alongside more 'modern' materials. My art is inspired by Kyoto, Japan, where I feel a strong connection to my Dutch heritage, a bond that I hope to share with you through my art—not dissimilar to the influence of Japanese art on Van Gogh. I am a biologist and history lover living in Athabasca, Alberta, Canada. I have a deep passion for local folklore and history. I enjoy nature hikes, birdwatching, and learning about mythology, local legends, and cryptids. If you're interested in learning more about my adventures, feel free to check out my blog here: https://aliaschamehornart.blogspot.com/ I have a Patreon! Alia Schamehorn Art Buy me a Kofi: Ko-fi....
